ENERTRAG Service opens ‘Speicher’ at the Energy Campus
Dauerthal

ENERTRAG Service opened the new storage facility yesterday at the Dauerthal Energy Campus. The name does not refer to an electricity storage facility, but rather to a parts and knowledge centre. In future, the central warehouse, workshops and training and education rooms will bring together material supply, practical skills training, induction and training for wind turbine servicing in a single location. This demonstrates ENERTRAG’s continued clear commitment to the Dauerthal site and the Uckermark region.

The ‘Speicher’ brings together everything required for day-to-day servicing. The central warehouse stocks components, spare parts and tools, ranging from small parts to large assemblies. Short distances and rapid availability reduce response times and enhance the reliability of supply for wind turbines in the region and beyond. The individual areas have already come into operation in stages. The central warehouse has been operational since March 2026, and the training centre since August 2026.

A place for materials, knowledge and training

The name ‘Speicher’ (meaning ‘storehouse’) was chosen deliberately. Storehouses have always been places of security and provision. It is precisely this concept that ENERTRAG Service applies to its service division: the storehouse not only holds materials in stock, but also safeguards knowledge and passes it on. In the training and education rooms, the company provides practical preparation for trainees and career changers working on the turbines, whilst regularly providing further training for experienced specialists.

Around 50 service technicians will work, learn and develop their skills at the site. ENERTRAG Service is currently training twelve apprentices. In this way, the company is addressing the growing demand for skilled workers in the sector and creating long-term prospects in the region.

A boost for the Uckermark

The storage facility boosts ENERTRAG Service’s operational capacity, supports the development of skilled workers and enhances regional value creation in the Uckermark. For ENERTRAG, the opening represents a long-term commitment to the Dauerthal site and a visible signal for the energy transition in Brandenburg. The State of Brandenburg provided funding of around 1.5 million euros for the project via the Brandenburg Investment Bank.

The opening was attended by guests from the worlds of politics, business and the local community. Alongside representatives from ENERTRAG, speakers included Brandenburg’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Martina Klement; the District Administrator of the Uckermark district, Karina Dörk; and Jörg Müller, founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board at ENERTRAG. To mark the inauguration, the participants jointly cut the ribbon in front of the service hall.

Martina Klement, Brandenburg’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Energy, Climate Protection and European Affairs, emphasised the company’s strong ties to the Uckermark region: “The opening of the so-called ‘storage facility’ demonstrates that ENERTRAG is taking responsibility for the future of the company and its staff through investment, training and new structures. Materials, knowledge and skills come together here in one place, thereby creating the conditions for efficient service whilst also securing a supply of skilled workers. The fact that the company is committing to Dauerthal and the Uckermark region in the long term is a strong commitment to the entire region and an important contribution to local value creation.”

For Dr Anne Bendzulla, a member of ENERTRAG’s Executive Board, the transfer of knowledge is crucial: “Spare parts alone cannot keep a wind turbine running. What matters most are the people who pass on their knowledge to future generations, thereby ensuring that our turbines supply electricity reliably. That is precisely what this facility achieves: it combines technology with experience and transforms individual skills into genuine expertise for our service operations in the Uckermark. ”

“The depot brings parts, knowledge and training together in one place. In this way, we combine a rapid supply of materials, practical training and a clear commitment to the Dauerthal site. We are particularly proud of our training centre, where we prepare young people and career changers for the demands of the energy transition,” says Jan Neuhann, Managing Director of ENERTRAG Service GmbH.

With the storage facility, ENERTRAG is further developing the Dauerthal Energy Campus into a central hub for service, training and regional value creation. Here, the energy transition becomes visible and tangible.
