Choose France 2026

At the 9th edition of the Choose France summit, held on 1 June 2026 at the Château de Versailles, ENERTRAG announced a major commitment to the French energy transition with a €1.1 billion investment plan dedicated to building new energy infrastructure.

Active on the French market for over 25 years, ENERTRAG plans to commission at least 100 MW per year of renewable and battery storage capacity. Some of these projects will be based on hybrid configurations designed to enhance power system flexibility and promote better integration of renewable energy into the grid. The group is targeting 1 GW of installed capacity in France by 2030.

 Two projects illustrate ENERTRAG's approach:

• In the Hauts-de-France region (north of France), a 120 MW hub combining two wind farms together with a battery storage facility - set to be operational in March 2027.
• In the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (southwest of France), a 110 MW hub will combine three wind farms together with a battery storage facility.

This architecture enables optimized management of energy flows, better use of existing grid capacity and more efficient integration of renewable energy into the power system. Additional hubs based on the same architecture are also in preparation across France.

This investment plan reinforces a strong territorial footprint and reflects the company's confidence in France's attractiveness for renewable energy projects.
