Solar Farm and Battery Storage Facility at Lake Brüssow:
Clean energy for the Uckermark
EU funding notice
Funded by the European Union and the State of Brandenburg (ERDF/JTF)

Regional benefits
Solar power from Brüssower See strengthens the regional energy supply. The project generates local economic value during the construction phase and whilst in operation. The integrated battery storage system can store solar power and release it at a later time.

What it’s all about:
A solar farm with integrated battery storage is being built on around 40 hectares of farmland north of Brüssower See. The project combines 44.5 MWp of solar capacity with a storage capacity of 10 MWh and supplies reliable green electricity to Brandenburg.
The project at a glance:
Technology: Ground-mounted photovoltaic system with battery storage
Total rated output: 44.5 MWp
Number of modules: approx. 71,500 monocrystalline, bifacial PV modules
Location: North of Lake Brüssow, east of the L251, Brandenburg
CO₂ savings: 16,684 tonnes per year
Inverters: 123
Battery storage: 5 MW / 10 MWh
Households supplied: 15,000
Planning status: Under construction, completion June 2027
