ENERTRAG Betrieb inaugurates new office building in Edemissen
ENERTRAG Betrieb inaugurated its new office building in the Roth Acker industrial park in Edemissen yesterday with a festive ceremony. Around 110 guests from politics, business and society attended the inauguration, including Lower Saxony's Minister for Economic Affairs Grant Hendrik Tonne, Minister for the Environment Christian Meyer and the President of the German Wind Energy Association, Bärbel Heidebroek.
The two-storey timber-frame building sends a clear signal for sustainable construction and modern working environments. In addition to 26 high-quality workplaces, it offers a modern service and storage centre that further optimises operational processes. With photovoltaic systems, a heat pump, electricity storage and charging stations for electric cars and bicycles, the new building demonstrates how resource-efficient construction can be combined with high functionality.
"With this new building, we are investing in the future of our company and the region. We are not only creating modern workplaces, but also an infrastructure that enables short distances, efficient processes and an inspiring working environment. Edemissen is thus becoming a place where the future is being shaped," said Dr Anne Bendzulla, board member and managing director of ENERTRAG Betrieb GmbH.
Michael Dahm, managing director of ENERTRAG Betrieb and builder of the project, was also proud: ‘Our new office building is a technical and architectural statement. Sustainable construction, modern working environments and an optimised service area make us fit for tomorrow's requirements. It is a building that makes the energy transition visible and tangible in everyday life.’
The President of the German Wind Energy Association, Bärbel Heidebroek, emphasised in her welcoming address: "The opening of Enertrag Betrieb's new office in Edemissen is a strong signal for the energy transition in Lower Saxony. With its expertise in technical and commercial management, Enertrag is helping to ensure that wind turbines produce electricity reliably and efficiently, thereby supporting the transformation of the economy. Enertrag is a prime example of what we need: courageous companies that intelligently combine wind, sun and green hydrogen to replace fossil fuel power plants."
Lower Saxony's Minister for Economic Affairs, Grant Hendrik Tonne, emphasised the importance of the new building for the energy transition and regional economic power: ‘With its office building in Edemissen, ENERTRAG Betrieb is demonstrating how sustainable construction, modern working environments and the energy transition are interlinked. Investments like this create high-quality jobs, strengthen Lower Saxony as a business location and make it clear that the energy transition is both an ecological and an economic project for the future.’
Lower Saxony's Minister for Energy and Climate Protection, Christian Meyer, praised the company in his welcoming address as an ‘important service provider full of energy’ for operators, local authorities and local people: "As the number one wind energy state, Lower Saxony has massively accelerated the expansion of wind and solar energy, but also of grids, storage facilities and the heat transition. ENERTRAG is implementing specific projects in an exemplary manner and is an important partner for the state in terms of reliability, quality and innovation. At the same time, ENERTRAG is creating new jobs and prospects for young people in the region and is helping to make the energy transition a success and achieve our climate targets. I wish the company continued success in its new, climate-friendly building."
With its new location, ENERTRAG Betrieb aims to further strengthen its role as a leading technical service provider in the areas of operational management, inspections and testing of renewable energy plants. The company already manages over 1,300 plants in Germany and France, and the new building will lay the foundation for further growth in Lower Saxony.
The move into the building will be completed by autumn 2025. Then the ‘clockwork’, as the building is called within the company, will be fully operational and filled with life, ideas and energy.
