ENERTRAG invests €9 million in new service hall with training centre at its Dauerthal site

ENERTRAG is clearly committed to the energy transition and the Uckermark region: the company celebrated the topping-out ceremony for a state-of-the-art service and storage hall at its central location in Dauerthal. The new building combines a training centre, office space and expanded logistics areas under one roof and sets standards for innovation and sustainability. With an investment of €9 million, ENERTRAG Service GmbH is laying the foundation for a secure, sustainable and high-performance energy supply for tomorrow – while also strengthening jobs and expertise in the region. Commissioning is scheduled for March 2026.

The new building is being constructed as a spacious arched hall with a floor area of 50 by 50 metres and a height of 15.40 metres. The roof is fully equipped with photovoltaic laminates and will generate a large part of the electricity required in future – a clear commitment to sustainable construction and active climate protection.

Future centre for service, training and innovation

The new ‘storage’ hall combines several functions under one roof:

- Warehouse (1,500 m²): This serves as a central spare parts warehouse for ENERTRAG wind turbines and third-party customers in the region and throughout eastern Germany. Modern logistics enable just-in-time supply and increase security of supply for the energy transition.

- Training and education centre: In future, not only will the number of training places for electronics technicians for industrial engineering and automation technology be significantly increased here, but career changers and experienced service technicians will also receive regular further training. In this way, ENERTRAG Service is responding to the growing demand for skilled workers in the industry and offering attractive prospects for the region.

- Office space: A total of 15 modern workplaces and premises for around 50 service technicians will be created.

Voices from within the company

Dr Anne Bendzulla, member of the ENERTRAG Executive Board, emphasised the strategic importance of the project in her speech:

‘With this investment, ENERTRAG is making a clear commitment to the Dauerthal site and the Uckermark region. The new service hall is a symbol of reliability, regional value creation and shaping the future. Here, we are creating the conditions for the energy transition in Brandenburg and throughout Germany to succeed – with modern infrastructure, qualified specialists and sustainable solutions.’

Jan Neuhann, Managing Director of ENERTRAG Service GmbH, highlighted the advantages for employees:

‘For our teams, the new hall means above all better working conditions, shorter distances and faster response times. This helps us to work reliably and economically. We are particularly proud of our expanded training centre, where we prepare young people and career changers for the challenges of the energy transition in a practical manner.’

Strengthening the region and the energy transition

With the new building, ENERTRAG is underlining its role as a driver of innovation and employer in the Uckermark region. The investment creates new jobs, promotes the training of young people and strengthens regional value creation. At the same time, the company is making an important contribution to security of supply and climate protection in Brandenburg.

The new ‘Speicher’ service hall is another milestone on the road to a climate-neutral energy supply and makes the energy transition in the Uckermark visible and tangible.
