Using ENERTRAG Powersystem for Inspections
On-site inspections are time-consuming affairs, with templates to be prepared, logs to be updated by hand and findings to be copied over retrospectively. The Inspections module makes this process digital and saves you up to 80 per cent of your work time.
Our Inspections module allows system operation inspections to be planned in a structured way, conducted on the go and recorded transparently. Developed specifically for the purpose, the app enables teams to carry out inspections directly on site and log relevant information. Results, including photos, can be transferred over into reports so that technical findings, anomalies and evidence are kept to hand in one place.

Structured inspection processes and clear workflows
Inspections can also be linked to specific tasks, calendar entries, systems, sites or components, enabling responsibilities, deadlines, statuses, target components and notifications to be recorded clearly. Repeating tasks and automatic reminders can also be set up. This thus turns an inspection not only into a written record but also into a clear workflow running from planning and implementing measures through to following them up.
The module helps asset management and O&M teams to organize inspection processes more efficiently, pool information centrally and make operational decisions based on reliably documented results.
Log templates and assignment
The app compiles log templates in a flexible way and assigns them to the relevant inspection teams. Prior to an inspection, the team specifies all the parameters in the template, including responsibilities, the type of inspection, the system and other details. Thus users will get the right template for every single system type – every single time. The app’s navigation feature will direct service teams straight to the system’s location if desired as well as indicating any unusual features or hazards to be borne in mind.
Work through multiple logs simultaneously
Once the team have opened the app on site, they can get going straight away. Everyone can see which inspections still need to be done. Each user can record the results on their own device, even if they are offline. Multiple inspection teams can work on the same log at the same time, while the app syncs the data in the background, saving time.
Step by step: the app takes you through the individual sections of your log in a structured way. If you encounter a discrepancy, you can add photos and notes to your log there and then, reducing errors and doing away with the need to update and copy over information by hand.

Automatic transmission and defect management
As soon as work is complete, the app transmits the log to the web-based application automatically, and any defects logged will appear in Powersystem’s defect management interface. Inspectors then rate them by urgency and add recommendations for action. This ensures that everyone responsible is immediately made aware of any urgent defects and can remedy them in time to prevent serious damage or high costs.
With just one click, the app generates the final log and sends it off to the customer, who receives all the relevant information clearly, promptly and at low cost.

Linking and following up inspections
Powersystem links inspections to specific tasks, calendar entries, systems, sites or components. Inspection teams log details of responsibilities, deadlines, statuses, target components and notifications, and the app sets up repeating tasks and automatic reminders.
Four good reasons to install the Inspections app
- It saves time: digital log and automatic transmission cut work time by up to 80 per cent compared to manual processes.
- It is user-friendly: the app takes inspectors step by step through the various log sections, even in offline mode. This significantly reduces the risk of key elements of the inspection being overlooked.
- It is quality-focused: the app logs photos, notes and defects there and then on site, reducing transmission errors.
- It is tried and tested: ENERTRAG uses the Inspection app itself for its own wind turbines and customer portfolios.
