ENERTRAG is starting the new year with a remarkable success story: at the turn of the year, approvals were granted for 26 wind turbines with a total capacity of 187.2 megawatts (MW). These turbines will be built in the Uckermark – a region that is further cementing its status as a pioneer in renewable energies.

The approvals cover the projects Malchow Ost, Schenkenberg 4 and 5, and Tantow 1. Together, they mark a significant milestone in the history of ENERTRAG.

The projects are as follows

Malchow Ost:

This project comprises 12 Vestas V172 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 7.2 MW and a hub height of 175 metres. It was initiated in 2010 and is one of the largest contiguous wind energy projects in ENERTRAG's history. The wind turbines are being built in the municipality of Göritz in the district of Brüssow.

Schenkenberg 4 and 5:

These two projects, located in the municipality of Schenkenberg in the district of Brüssow, comprise a total of 10 Vestas V172 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 7.2 MW and a hub height of 175 metres.

Tantow 1:

Four Vestas V172 turbines, each with a capacity of 7.2 MW and a hub height of 175 metres, are being built in the municipality of Tantow in the district of Gartz. This project was launched in 2003 and underlines the company's long-term commitment to consistently implementing challenging projects.

‘These approvals are an outstanding result and are the result of many years of good cooperation in the individual project teams and working groups,’ emphasises Marc Transfeld, Regional Director for North Brandenburg at ENERTRAG.

The approvals underline ENERTRAG's commitment to the energy transition and the expansion of renewable energies in Germany. Receiving four approvals within a few days is not only a great way to end 2024, but also a promising start to 2025.
