What is photovoltaics?
Photovoltaics is the conversion of light energy (usually sunlight) into electrical energy using solar cells. Several solar cells are connected to form a solar module. Together with other components such as the inverter and the power line, these form a photovoltaic system. Direct current is generated in photovoltaic modules. This is converted into alternating current (three-phase current) in the so-called inverters so that it can later be fed into the electricity grid. Before being fed into the grid, the electricity is transformed to the required voltage level.
