ENERTRAG becomes European: Conversion to SE completed

Dauerthal, 07.01.2022 | The conversion of ENERTRAG AG into a European Company (Societas Europaea, SE) was completed on 06 January 2022 by entry in the commercial register.

After more than 20 years of operations in Germany, France and Poland, ENERTRAG has completed the conversion from a German to a European legal entity. In future, the company will operate under the name ENERTRAG SE, thus reflecting its European origins and international identity even more strongly.

As a dynamically growing company, ENERTRAG is involved in numerous renewable energy projects worldwide. Around 800 employees from almost 40 nations are currently active in four European and five other international countries.

"The SE is a modern, supranational legal form and thus, in the belief of the Supervisory Board and Executive Board, the right legal form for ENERTRAG's further European and international growth," says Jörg Müller, ENERTRAG CEO. "As a company with roots in Brandenburg and business activities in Europe and around the world, the conversion into an SE is a logical decision that best suits a modern and internationally active company with a diverse employee structure."

An SE works council offers employees at all European locations the opportunity for cross-border co-determination. The company expects such a committee to further unite the employees across national borders.

The new legal form has no impact on shareholders, customers and contractual partners or existing contractual relationships. The proven structure of the Supervisory Board and Executive Board as well as their staffing will be retained. The headquarters of ENERTRAG SE will remain unchanged in Dauerthal.
